about me

I’m Ásta, I’m originally a designer from Iceland who got tired of working on a computer all day. I took my first ceramics class in 2019 and since then, I’ve been hooked.

I’m a part of a shared studio, called Reykjavík Clay, which I love.

From the beginning I’ve been inspired by the nature around me and have wanted to incorporate that into my pieces somehow.

I harvest different types of materials myself, traveling around Iceland during summertime. I use geothermal clay, glacial clay, volcanic sand and pumice.
